Battlestar Galactica gets price cut… still sucks
Ok, confession time. I am not a die-hard fan of the new Battlestar Galactica. Now wait just a minute! Before you start throwing your Starbuck shaped pillows and Colonel Tigh fashion eye patches at me, hear me out. It’s not that I don’t like it, far from it! I’ve seen all three seasons, the stupid webisodes they throw out that tend to resemble poorly acted cutscenes from a Sega CD game, and even Razor. I’ll tell you this though, and maybe it’s just my complete lack of a social filter that makes me do this, but… I don’t see the obsession. Seriously. It’s a good show, it has some reasonably decent drama, and lets face it, Edward James Olmos could make a chess match entertaining. But unlike many people I know, I don’t see the messiah every time I watch it. Sorry to shatter anyone’s dreams.
Now where was I… Ah yes, according to the folks over at TeamXbox, the BSG game is going on sale. Yep, in conjunction with the premiere of the new (and final) season, this horrible little game will be available on Xbox Live Arcade for the pittance of 400 points. Did I mention this game totally sucks? Well it does, but this isn’t a review of it, just trust me. However, getting back to the point, don’t rest on your Apollo pajamaed butt for too long, this fire sale only lasts for 24 hours. Yes friends, you only have 1 full earth day to purchase this steaming pile of everything that’s wrong with gaming. Go ahead, you know you want to. Why would you spend that money on a good game, like the recently reduced Assault Heroes? Yeah, I’m not sure why either.
