Players will be catching virtual STDs this year in HD

Grand Theft Auto IV is going to be released in two days. It’s the most eagerly awaited game of the year and as you may know by now the game has been leaked onto the Internet via Ustream, Justin.tv and other sites of the like.

Tons of videos of the gameplay have been leaked. But I’d like to divert your attention to a certain video that came out today; a video depicting what happens when you pick up a street walker.

Now, this has been a “feature” in past GTA games and Rockstar always kept it pretty clean, but this time around they don’t want to take any chances that players won’t know what’s happening, so they’ve given you some new animations to go with that rockin’ car. I understand that Rockstar likes to push the envelope of what is acceptable, but I think they have gone a little too far with this one. I don’t see anything good to come out of this, even if Rockstar believes that there is no such thing as bad press. This may be one step too far and I expect it will hurt sales when it surfaces on news channels.

You can see the video after the break (NSFW, no nudity but it’s pretty explicit).

It didnt hurt sales at all, in fact GTA IV was the best selling game of all times and made the most money is first week at 500 million, it beat Halo 3 which had 300 millions which used to be first.
